Virtual prototyping is a method of creating garments that eliminates the need to produce physical prototypes. With programs like CLO3D and Gerber 3D, virtual prototyping has become widely accessible, and could be the future for how to create quality clothing with fewer resources.
In this workshop, we'll discuss how you can use these programs to create a digital model of your garment and test it before going into production. We'll also show you some examples of how other brands have used virtual prototyping to streamline their processes and get their clothes into stores faster than ever before.
Discover the possibilities of virtual prototyping to streamline your processes and get clothes into stores faster than ever before. Depending on whether you are a school, conference or brand, the workshop will be tailored to your needs, but here is an example of what you can find in the workshop:
First we will go through some of the softwares and programs that exists today, for designers to create digital fashion. They each have different benefits and price points, therefore it is important to know what is out there.
Then we take a look at how the supply chain could change if a brand implemented virtual prototyping and possibly digital samples.
In this workshop, we'll discuss some new technologies and even future technologies, and how it could possibly change the way we design and produce apparel. We'll review some of the most current trends in apparel production and design, including 3D printing, AI, and more. You'll leave this workshop with a list of things to look into that will help you stay up to date with these trends.
Optionally we can go through a CLO3D workshop, going over the basics of the program and how to get started.
During the workshop there will be exercises in between presentations, for the participants to put their new knowledge to the test, and try some design and problem solving tasks.
Conscious Collab offers consulting and workshops either in-person or remotely online, all depending on your needs. We mainly operate in Europe for on site projects, but if you are outside of Europe and interested please let us know so we can see if it fits our travel plans.
